Descubra Minho is a local tour operator specialized in guided and self guided walking and cycling tours in Northern Portugal: Minho region, Serra D’Arga Nature Reserve but also Peneda – Gerês National Park.
Filipe Costinha and Agostinho Costinha created Descubra Minho in 2013 and afterwards opened the office in Montaria village on the foothills of Serra D’Arga Nature Reserve, a secret mountain in the district of Viana do Castelo.
Montaria is a hometown to Filipe and Agostinho. They grew up close to nature which has, in turn, led them to become rear nature lovers. Because of this, today, they want to share with you the secret, hidden and unknown to others places in Serra D’Arga and in the whole Northern Portugal.
As an incoming Tour Operator, we work all year round with small groups as well as solo travelers.
The company slogan is “Feel Nature“ - this is our mission. Once you book a tour with us, you will certainly understand its meaning. You will truly embrace the nature around you and because we work in the Portuguese countryside, with us, you will experience and discover the real Portugal!
On our tours we include a picnic lunch with local food and drink buying from local farmers. You make an important contribution to the local economies of the places you visit.
On our wine bike tours you visit family owned wineries and you can stay in family run hotels.
Since 2013 we avoid mass tourism, the goal of Descubra Minho is to offer nature-oriented experiences without making any negative impact.
